What does a man who has built the same traditional constructions 100 times in 25 years of experience do ? While many continue to stick to the same choices in a changing world, Gabriel Lakatos decides to solve the problems of his time.

The time is now for sustainability and optimization of the construction process. Everyone has good ideas. The boldness to make them happen, the world lacks.

In 2019, this architect’s son develops insulated and modular blocks. They fit together by hand, laid on a concrete slab. Why? Because the energy saving is unbeatable with 26 cm of graphite EPS (soon to be replaced by an entirely ecological element). Simon Schloesser, seduced by the concept, joined Gabriel in the adventure.

One year later, the project already arouses the curiosity of many entrepreneurs. The modules, manufactured in the workshop, are stacked at an impressive speed. Any architect’s plan can be materialized in one week of work on site.

In 2021, Simon and Gabriel are approached by investors with broad shoulders. They believe in the project so much that they finance its development in Europe. The rest of the world will follow.

In 2022, Gablok expanded and centralized its first production site in Belgium. This allowed the company to open a distribution hub for its nascent exports. But also, to develop a research and development department (Gablok Engineering & Services) and to provide professional construction trainings (Gablok Construction), like the numerous franchisees.

Gablok is an idea, inspired by a Danish carpenter who, almost a century ago, stacked the pieces to make rigid and infinite children’s games.

Gablok is still at the beginning of its history. Because the concept, which quality label is validated by the best public institutions, is infinite.
